MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3, or better known as MP3 is a file format that hascompression encoding sound good (although lossy) so that the file size can be allowed to be smaller. This file was developed by a German engineerKarlheinz Brandenburg. MP3 encoding uses Pulse Code Modulation (PCM).MP3 reduces the number of bits required by using psychoacoustic models toeliminate the sound components that are not heard by humans.
